Having lived in Pittsfield for about 20 years now, I have to admit, I don't always go down to see the balloons...and I live less than half a mile from town! But on Saturday, the weather was great and we ventured down in the morning at about 10 a.m. to see what was going on.

Well, the first thing we noticed was that the jewelry and other vendors had all been relocated down by the river instead of squashed up by the front gates. What an improvement! It was nice and shady down there and the tents all lined up made a pretty country scene. And the vendors are always so nice. I bought a beautiful turquoise necklace and earring set at a very affordable price. And I met up with the cloth purse lady, whom I'd bought from a couple of years ago. She recognized the purse I had slung on my shoulder as one of hers! I bought another one just because they're so handy and stylish.

I missed the guy from Suncook Canoes. Maybe he's out of business or just doesn't go there anymore, but he used to rent kayaks there real cheap as a promotional thing. It was great fun for the kids, getting in a kayak and paddling up and down the river for a while. It was great fun for me too, and everyone was always so nice helping an old person like me, actually getting into one of those things without landing in the drink! Someday I'm going to buy a kayak-been saying that for years now.

The helicopters were there, as usual. The noise doesn't bother me so much anymore. And I do envy the people who have the guts to actually go up in one! The ride takes them right over my house-I'm located just where they turn around to go back to the park. So even when I'm not downtown, I get a little taste of the activities, right here at home-about every 15 minutes for two days straight!

And this year the wind was just right. The balloons gracefully went airborne and then glided right across the river, their reflections vivid in the still water. Could not have been nicer, and what a photo op! I got some great shots, and I hope the other photographers lined up along the river did too.

My diet went bust as we visited the food vendors and settled on a BBQ pork sandwich with fries. There were lots of choices for good things to eat, and the lines went fast. And it did seem like the trailers were spaced out a little more and had more room than in previous years.

Not to complain too much, but I wished there was more parking, because I sure walked a lot that day-so much that I was too beat to go down that night and see the fireworks. My kids told me they were fantastic! You might know. And I felt bad for all the people in wheelchairs as their companions tried to push them across the damp, sometimes muddy grass. Could there have been plywood ramps or something for those folks? And there are never enough places to just sit and enjoy your food or the sights, unless you want to park it down on the wet grass someplace. Think the organizers could have set up a section with bunches of tables and chairs somewhere. Maybe one of the organizers will read this and get the hint! But, all in all, it was a fun day, I'm glad the weather held, and I'm glad I went!

New England Shakespeare Festival Sonnet Contest

The deadline for the New England Shakespeare Festival Sonnet Contest is August 1, 2009. I am of course talking about Martin Luther King Jr. and his real first name is Michael. He now has a national holiday in his honor, an honor in which no other American currently has. Even our founding fathers are now without their own holidays. Washington, Adams, Jefferson, all without their own day to call their own. This is an incredible slap in the face.

Most people who take part in the media frenzy are not aware that he plagiarized his doctoral dissertation and was a prostitute enthusiast. He was also being investigated by the FBI and his files have been sealed until 2027. Why would that need to happen unless people wanted to hide something from the public? He had much to hide from the public because if people knew the truth about him, there would not be this great indoctrination that has permeated every part of American society. Children in public schools are subjected to this great indoctrination without being allowed to find out the truth of the man. They are taught to honor him because unless they do, they will be considered racist. Black public figures have always been allowed to stand up for the black race but unfortunately this same thought process has not been applied to whites. The liberal media has been so successful at brainwashing white people and filling them with white guilt that most whites now live in fear of being labeled an evil, racist, bigot.

It is time that white people awaken to these facts and break away from their white guilt so that they can be enlightened to the lies that have been perpetuated to them over the years.

5000 Somali refugees since 1992

Ryan J. This is their "about us" statement:

"Since 1996, the Somali Development Center (SDC) has been the lifeline to vital educational and social services for New England’s growing Somali refugee and immigrant community.

SDC was founded by a group of Somali-Americans who originally came to the U.S. to obtain higher education. In 1991, when a full-scale civil war started in Somalia, it forced millions of people to flee from the cities in Somalia into the neighboring states of Ethiopia and Kenya. As a result, the United States government, through its refugee resettlement program, settled thousands of Somalis in the U.S.

Nearly 5000 of these Somali refugees have been arriving in the New England area to start new lives since 1992. SDC is a tax-exempt organization as defined by Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

SDC was specifically established by the aforementioned Somali American group to provide multiple services to the Somali newcomers, as there were no effective mainstream social service agencies working with Somalis at that time.

The past few years have seen exponential growth in the Somali community in greater New Hampshire. In response to community need, the Somali Development Center established SDC Manchester on April 2005. SDC Manchester office has now been open from April 2005 and actively providing new services and enhancing other exciting services."

Do any other New Hampshire residents find this very disturbing? I grew up in this state and have decided that I want to raise my children here also. One reason for that is because the state is 96% white. Statistics show that communities that are predominantly non white have a much higher crime rate and thus, lower standard of living. To ignore this would be foolish. Now the question is, if statistics do not lie, why are there people in this state who think it would be beneficial to have third world non white immigrants moving into it? People make countries what they are and if we continue to invite third world, non white people into our country and state, we will surely become a third world country and a third world state. That is something that I refuse to let happen without resistance.

Let's deliver a strong message to those who want to corrupt our beautiful state

Ryan J. Addison's cousin thinks that it is about race of course. Sorry Mario, your cousin shot a cop in the head and killed him. I wonder what blacks would be saying if the cop had been black and the shooter white. There is a good chance that it would have been considered a hate crime since only white people are capable of hate crimes. There is no coincidence that New Hampshire is a 96% white state and one of the few blacks in the state is the one responsible for killing a white New Hampshire police officer. I have news for you fellow New Hampsherites, the more non whites that move into our state, the more these kinds of things will happen. It is simple statistical math. Non whites, particularly blacks, are much more prone to crime of all kinds. I personally live in this state because it is such a great place to raise a family. New Hampshire residents need to send a message letting people know that they will not put up with this kind of thing. When I chose where I wanted to raise my kids, I did not say to myself," how about a majority black neighborhood." That would have been irresponsible as a father for me to do that as my kids are counting on me for their protection. I hope that white New Hampshire residents will get over their white guilt long enough to realize that their way of life is under attack from non whites. New Hampshire is 96% white and has one of the lowest crime rates in the nation. Let's keep it that way.

Massachusetts residents are moving here to get away from non whites

Ryan J. What they don't even realize is that they are moving here to get away from the affect non whites have had on their former residence. They are subconsciously self segregating or they are either in denial of racial reality. Isn't it ironic that some white people preach multuculturalism and diversity while at the same time enjoying the quality of life of a state that is 96% white?

LIVE FREE or DIE

PATRIOTS CAN NOT LIVE FREE IN OBAMA SOCIALISM!

"Live Free Or Die; Death Is Not The Worst Of Evils." NEED I SAY MORE?

The words "Live Free or Die," written by General John Stark, July 31, 1809, shall be the official motto of the state.

It was the 1945 Legislature that gave New Hampshire its official motto and emblem, as World War II approached a successful end.

The motto became "Live Free or Die," as once voiced by General John Stark, the state’s most distinguished hero of the Revolutionary War, and the world famous Old Man of the Mountain was voted the official state emblem.

VIDEO of HANOI HILTON BUDDY SAYS McCAIN IS A LEADER of FREE MEN!

The world’s largest double terminated “set” gemstone will make it’s debut appearance on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the Holiday Inn, Nashua, NH during the Angels, Trinkets and Faeries Holiday Fair produced by Advocates of Holistic Health (www.aohh.org). The crystal – dubbed the Munay-Ki Crystal has been set in a specially designed and craftfully engineered metal mobile sculpture (bringing the total weight to close to 5500 pounds). The Munay-Ki is double terminated and is estimated to be approximately 150,000,000 (150 million) to 200,000,000 (200 million) years old. Ross Ellis who is the steward of the crystal and the artist responsible for the mobile sculpture that is it’s setting will be present at the event to answer questions about the crystal, his artwork and the deeper meaning of the Munay-Ki. Over 7 feet tall when fully erect in it’s setting, the crystal is surrounded by a stage that will allow for safe public access and the ability to have a close encounter with this magnificent natural wonder. Double terminated crystals form in deep pockets in the earth and ones of this size are extremely rare. The mobile sculpture created by Mr. Ellis allows for the crystal to be displayed in all it’s glory. “A lot of folks suggested that I cut one end off in order to have the crystal stand upright” says Mr. Ellis, “but I just couldn’t do that to this crystal – it had to stay completely intact, which is why I chose to create this “setting” for it.” Taking over a year to design, fabricate and finish, the mobile sculpture setting alone is an engineering marvel that allows one person to move an object that weighs more than a car through a 3 foot door opening. “Many people looked at me like I was crazy and said it couldn’t be done, but I was persistent and unwilling to compromise on what I knew could be created” says the artist.

The Holiday Fair where the crystal will debut commences at 9:30 am on Sunday the 9th of November at the Holiday Inn and is open to the general public for a small admission fee. In addition to hosting the debut of the crystal, the event will also feature local crafters, holistic healers and in the Bounty Room there will be a large variety of kid friendly activities hosted by the L’il Iguana Children’s Safety Foundation which is a beneficiary of the event. “I’m very grateful to Angie D’Anjou, the producer of the fair, for her willingness to allow us to debut the Munay-Ki here in the City” says Mr. Ellis. “It’s a pleasure to be able to share the beauty of this gem that is a gift from the Mother Earth”. “Part of my intention in displaying the crystal is to raise awareness of the beauty and power that the Earth has as a creative force and to share in the education of the public about the importance of our natural resources.” “As an unofficial member of Nashua’s Green Team and a consultant working with renewable energy sources it is my intent to use the crystal to help educate about solar power – since quartz (silicon dioxide) is the primary component in solar panels and collectors.”

For more information about the Holiday Fair please contact Angie D’Anjou at 603-321-4818.
For more information about the Munay-Ki Crystal please contact Ross Ellis at 1-228-861-1838

New Hampshire's motto is "Live Free or Die". Nonetheless, we continue to vote for candidates who want ever bigger federal power. Other than Ron Paul, the currently declared candidates all are happy to tell us how they would use federal power to bring us their vision for America. Rudy Guiliani is certainly an effective administrator, but will expand federal power to enforce law and order. McCain and Romney can be trusted to pander and sacrifice their beliefs when it is politically expedient. Ron Paul has so little support, that he is being dropped from national results. The polls generally require that 1% of respondents name you to keep you as an entry. Dr. Paul has managed less than one half of one percent in several straw polls (due in no small part to his assertion that we brought 9/11 on ourselves). We need an effective communicator who can help end the diviseness of the last few elections. Fred Thompson, despite the fact he has yet to declare, and has yet to spend a dime, has a significant amount of support and is ahead of Romney and McCain in many cases. Help us elect a candidate of the people with a no nonsense approach to government. New York and California should not determine our values. The national movement to draft Fred Thompson is all-volunteer and not paid for or afiltaed with Fred Thomposn or the GOP. This is a genuine grassroots movement. Find out more at http://fredthompson-nh.com or call 603-826-5940, or email fred4pres@gmail.com The event will be located at Salem Self Defense Center 224 North Broadway, Salem, NH, and will run from 9am-4pm. We will be holding several raffles, as well as serving food and drink, with a Krav Maga demonstration in the afternoon.

The event will feature the Fall/Winter 2008 line of lia sophia jewelry. Half of my profits (15% of the total sales) will be donated to breast cancer research, awareness, and prevention. To do this, I need to sell at least $3335 worth of product. She is a leukemia survivor, and she is alive and well today because one person chose to join the National Marrow Donor Registry and donated when called.

Thousands of people like Leigh need your help. From May 5-19, the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) is trying to bring 46,000 people to the Registry in an effort called "Thanks Mom." Every day, 6,000 people search the Registry for a life-saving match. Only three in 10 receive the transplant they need, many in part because there is no match for them on the Registry.

Want to help? Last year I decided to do something different and took a good look at the flooding problem in my town . I bought my first computer last January because I knew I needed more than just my abilities if I was going to take an active part in the area of flood reduction .Needless to say there is a much bigger problem to solve before you can even attempt to focus on flooding issues .As you read the last sentence you probably knew the answer before you finished it .POLITICS .My experience with politics up until last winter was to try and pay attention to the issues and vote accordingly. I approached the political scene under the nieve assumption that they would love and embrace my ideas and the company I intended to start .All I will say at this time is BOY was I wrong or what .At the present time I have put up a website ( endtheflooding.com )The site itself will become my future business card .It is being reviewed by a number of different agencies such as the DES and governors office to name a few . I have high hopes of starting operations this year .
