Meteorologist hurt in hit and run

A Salem man is accused of leaving the scene of a car crash in Windham that seriously injured a WMUR television meteorologist.

The crash occurred around 2:55 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, on Route 111.Windham police said that Matthew Blake, 21, of Salem, left the scene of the crash in his Buick LeSabre and later admitted to leaving the accident.

Joshua Judge, 37, of Hampstead, was transported to Parkland Medical Center in Derry and later air lifted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Judge was on his way to work at the time of the crash, and his family reported that he is doing well, according to a WMUR news report.

Blake is free on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in Salem District Court on January 22. If convicted of the felony offense, he faces up to seven years in prison.
