A local woman
died at the Caritas Holy Family
Hospital in Methuen, Mass., on
Tuesday, Jan. 27, after an early
morning automobile accident left
her with life-threatening injuries,
according to authorities.
Cynthia Noonan, 47, of Salem,
succumbed to her injuries
just before being airlifted to the
Beth Israel Hospital in Boston
after she struck a tree on Butler
Street at about 8:05 a.m. She was
the sole occupant of the vehicle,
police said.
According to police, the exact
cause of the accident had not
been determined, though they
have ruled out drugs or alcohol
as a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under
investigation by the Salem Police
Department’s Traffic Accident
Reconstruction team.
