Salem police seek man who damaged coworker's car after being refused transportation

BY DERRICK PERKINS

Authorities are looking for a man who allegedly kicked in the door of a coworker’s car and tore off the rearview mirror after being refused a ride home from work.

David Angelone, 28, of Salem, fled the Ruby Tuesday’s parking lot in the Rockingham Park Mall in a taxi cab after “significantly” damaging a coworker’s vehicle at about 10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, according to police.

Police were waiting outside Angelone’s home as the taxi cab dropped him off. Angelone fled into the woods behind his home on foot after police ordered him to stop. During a subsequent search of the area, Angelone could not be located.

Angelone is wanted on an outstanding bench warrant and is facing criminal mischief and resisting detention charges.
