The Pembroke Action League for Schools (PALS) is raising funds by selling the Fun Pass developed and distributed by the ALANH (soon to be Breathe New Hampshire). The coupon booklet provides moe than $1,000 in discounts at more than 100 popular tourist attractions in New England.
Some of the locations include Story Land, Canobie Lake Park and Water Country. The majority of the attractions are located in New Hampshire, with others in nearby Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont.
In most instances, the coupons provide free or discounted children’s admission when accompanied by a paying adult. For information regarding the discounts and a comprehensive listing of all participating attractions visit www.nhlung.org.
The price for each booklet is $25. PALS receives $5 for each book sold through the organization. The remaining $20 supports smoking prevention programs for children in New Hampshire sponsored by the ALANH. Orders must be placed through PALS to benefit both organizations.
For more information or to place your order, contact Kim Landry at 224-5210 or by e-mail at kimlandry@comcast.net. Your order will not only provide a great return on your investment, but will also support two great organizations.
The goal of PALS is to encourage and facilitate support of Pembroke’s elementary school program by families, local businesses and community members. PALS strives to enhance the educational experiences of Pembroke’s kindergarten through eighth-grade children and works actively to raise parent involvement and awareness.
PALS’ activities include, but are not limited to, fund-raising, home and school connection forums and events, community and cultural events and equipment purchases. This year, PALS has helped defray the cost of fieldtrips, purchase audio systems for the classrooms, sponsored special events, provided volunteers and much more.
ALANH (soon-to-be Breathe New Hampshire) is committed to eliminating lung disease and improving the quality of life for those living with lung disease in New Hampshire.
