Town cable TV operator can re-enter schools

BY JIM DEVINE

Pelham’s cable TV operations supervisor has regained full access to school district property after charges of sexual solicitation charges against him were dropped.

The charges against Jim Greenwood, 47, of Pelham that alleged he offered money for sex from an undercover officer posing as a prostitute were dismissed on March 27 in Lowell, Mass., District Court.

Greenwood said he has since received written notification from the school district to continue his work for the school district as a contracted employee through the town’s cable department.

“They actually took me back as a contracted employee entirely,” Greenwood said.

Previously, Greenwood said he had received letters from the school district notifying him not to trespass on school property.

Although his office as a town employee is in the town offices, his work commonly requires him to film events and meetings at school district locations.

Superintendent Frank Bass wouldn’t comment prior communications with Greenwood but said he has been kept on as a contracted employee.
