Pelham Parks and Recreation now offers registration for the Hershey Track and Field program, open to 9- to 14-year-old boys and girls, as of Dec. 31, 2007.  

Students practice at the Pelham High School track with coach Peg Sawicki on Wednesday evenings, from 6 to 7 p.m., starting May 30, with added days after school ends.  

A copy of the child’s birth certificate is needed at time of sign up. The cost is $40 per child, which includes transportation to a state meet, typically in Concord in early July by school bus, as well as a tank top or T-shirt.

Be sure to note the shirt size on the registration form. Teams will be selected to be in the event, and all participants may attend.
