Popular music during World War II is the topic for a musical program featuring songs that raised American spirits and encouraged the war effort.
Calvin Knickerbocker, music educator and historian from Rivier College, brings a program featuring songs used as propaganda to boost morale on the front and at home.
The program will be at the Community Church of New Boston on Friday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m., and is hosted by The Whipple Free Library of New Boston’s Perspectives Program.
Refreshments will be served. This program is funded by a grant from the New Hampshire Humanities Council. For more information, call 487-3391.
