Kingston Fire

Disaster Strikes

Kingston Family

The David Sanford’s family holiday dreams were shattered when their home was extensively damaged by fire recently. Multiple fire departments were called to the 15 Little River Road residence about 11 am when the fire broke out in the basement and is believed to be electrical in nature and is still under investigation.

Kathy Sanford, her daughter Elizabeth and the family cat were at home at the time the fire started and were safely evacuated. The family is currently staying with friends. Kathy is a popular local figure around town working in the Selectmen’s Office. Sanford’s husband and son were not home at the time of the fire.

Those wishing to make donations on behalf of the David Sanford Family may drop them off at the Selectmen’s Office at the Town Hall, 163 Main St., Kingston. or by mail to the Selectmen’s Office, PO Box 716, Kingston, NH or call 642-3342 Ext. 103. You may also drop off donations at the Kingston Police Department or call the station at 642-5742.

Any house fire is devastating but especially poignant around the holiday when families are concentrating on wrapping gifts for their family members and planning for cherished family holiday gatherings.
