Mast Yard XC race is Aug. 22

The seventh annual Mast Yard State Forest XC Race takes place Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 6 p.m.

Race registration is available at Mast Yard State Forest’s Penecook Road entrance, starting at 5 p.m. on race day.

Proceeds from the race benefit Hopkinton cross country programs at the high school and middle school levels.

This wheel-measured 5K course includes complete trail coverage through Mast Yard State Forest, with a scenic finish along the Contoocook River.

The entry fee for adult runners preregistered by Aug. 10 is $10, while race-day registration is available for $15. Student registration is $5.

Awards are planned in multiple age categories and for the top high school and middle school teams.
