Hooksett Little League baseball wrap-up

In recent Triple-A action: Aidan Ryan struck out eight and scattered six hits as the Milne Travel Cardinals beat the Chambers Agency Rays, 12-2. Nick Salcito and Mark Borak both went 3-for-3 at the plate. Notables for the Rays included Kody Ginchereau, who had two singles, and hits from Brody Dupuis and Brendan Lewis, who was also solid behind the plate.

The Letter Carriers Br. 44 Orioles edged the Auto Re-Nu- It Dodgers, 7-6, when Cameron Miclette stole home after leading off with a bunt single. Meghan Malo and Ryan Mayor each struck out five for the Orioles. Declan Knieriem doubled, and Edward Upton added two singles for the victors. Standouts for the Dodgers included Jake Brunette, who doubled twice, and Kegan Williams, who singled. Williams also struck out five in relief.

In majors division play: The Granite State Tire and Battery A’s defeated the Giants on April 27, 11-1. Jake Clarke, Jeff Arbour, Tom Bolduc and Jason Toledo led the A’s on offense, while Aidan Elias pitched well. Jared Bjornberg delivered a leadoff double and scored the Giants’ only run on a Nathan Potvin RBI single. Joe Ward struck out five batters in 2 1/3 innings.

The ReMax Elite Red Sox defeated the Poultry Products Northeast Phillies on April 28, 7-3. Chris Pare collected two singles, and Manny Diaz doubled to lead the Sox. Jeness Peterson struck out five for the winners. For the Phillies, Justin Reno hit safely twice and scored two runs. Alec Patterson also chipped in with a hit, and Sam Sylvain pitched a strong game.

The ReMax Elite Red Sox defeated the Giants on May 2, 10-4. Chris Pare, Manny Diaz and Sean Dejong led the offense for the Sox, and Sean Benoit closed out the sixth inning with two strikeouts. Brad Locke struck out five in two innings. Max Curran fanned seven in 3 2/3 innings and played solid defensively. Amanda Chaffee, Declan Perry, Max Curran and Liam White all scored for the Giants.

The Granite State Tire and Battery A’s defeated the Poultry Products Northeast Phillies on May 2, 10-9. Jeff Arbour pitched two scoreless innings for the winners, who were paced by multiple hits from Kevin Taylor, Tom Bolduc, Jake Clarke and Arbour. For the Phils, Justin Reno delivered two hits, Ryan Boyle smashed a two-run double, and Jordan Lariviere, Alec Patterson and Will Fournier also collected ribbies. Zachary Wright pitched well in relief.
