A Hooksett man will be jailed for soliciting sex from teenage girls via the Internet.

Norman Laliberte, 32, pleaded guilty on Monday, June 25, to three counts of certain uses of computer services, prohibited, in Hillsborough County Superior Court.

Laliberte was charged with soliciting a 15-year-old girl and 14-year-old girl through the Internet to engage in sexual activity. According to the Attorney General’s Office, Laliberte also performed sexual acts on himself over a Web cam while asking one of the girls if she wanted to make a sex video with him.

The “girls” were actually Timothy Craig of the Manchester Police Department and Gary Gott of the Litchfield Police Department posing as the minors.

Laliberte arranged to meet with one of the girls and was arrested by Manchester police on Aug. 25, 2006, before the meeting took place.

In the case of the girl he arranged to meet, he was sentenced to two-and-half to seven years in the state prison and will be required to attend sexual offender counseling while incarcerated. He was also sentenced to three-and-a-half to seven years consecutive in the state prison for the second incident, all of which was suspended for 10 years. He is required to register as a sex offender and is prohibited from having any contact with children in person or online.
