The trails are groomed in optimum condition. The race is set and calling to you. Are you ready? &lt;p&gt;The New England Sled Dog Club will be hosting its first season qualifying race on January 31st and February 1st. This historic race held centrally in Tamworth, NH is a gorgeous race for drivers, spectators, family and the media. This race offers something for everyone, limited and un-limited classes, skijoring, junior classes and a limited mid-distance class. All Pro classes are ISDRA sanctioned and this will be the first race, of the five race series for the three dog juniors to win that brand new lap top computer!! Parents don&amp;rsquo;t let your kids miss out on this exciting prize. The purse at Tamworth has been bumped up to 3,000 dollars USA. If you are a returning driver come see if you can beat your last years times, are you getting better? If this race is new for you, come join the fun, the family, and the excitement of racing with some of the best in Tamworth NH on picturesque Lake Chocorua. The trails are improved, the class schedule is better and the purses are bigger. Each race has it&amp;rsquo;s own exciting opportunity. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The schedule starts with the Auburn Rig race held right in Auburn, NH. Centrally located, great parking, classes to suit EVERYONES needs. This is a wonderful start to the season. Get your dogs out early, size up your competition and have some fun! This race is being featured in the Union Leaders&amp;rsquo; &amp;ldquo;Arts and Entertainment&amp;rdquo; special edition weekend paper and will be covered by a representative from their sports section. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We would love to welcome everyone to join us for two beautiful days on Lake Chocorua, as we gather once again for the oldest continues sled dog race in the Northeast. Photo opportunities abound, as the many sled dog teams and drivers prepare to race over the historic trails in scenic Tamworth, NH. Almost sixty teams entered into this race last season and it is anticipated to attract even more this year. This is our first race on snow for the season. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Being quoted by many mushers alike as a &amp;ldquo;Sprint mushers dream&amp;rdquo;. Fast, straight, long, and well groomed. Hill Village trail at Profile Falls in Hill, NH offers even the most particular mushers what they are looking for. Lakes Region Sled Dog Club, the same RGO that hosts the Laconia World Championship Sled Dog Derby, will be this years sponsor. Hill is open all week long and is a grand place to train. Race at Hill, train all week long and be the most prepared driver for the Laconia Sled Dog Championship. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Next, you will be greeted with open arms to the NY State Championship Sprint Race in Inlet, NY. Spectators flock from near and far to watch as the dog teams burn down the trail for that seven thousand dollar purse. New England Sled Dog Club&amp;rsquo;s long time member and friend, John Samburgh, has taken the time to redesign an exquisite new trail system. After the first snowfall, all trails will be professionally groomed. Registration will be held Friday night at the Woods Inn and they will be welcoming all mushers Saturday night to a delectable dinner for a nominal fee. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Voted one of the top ten things to do in Vermont, you can&amp;rsquo;t miss out on this race. The Burke Mountain Sled Dog Dash benefits the Wafer Family Children&amp;rsquo;s Foundation, Making it a unique event to attend. Last year alone twenty five thousand dollars was raised and went towards the local children in East Burke. If a charity does not draw your attention to this race perhaps the eight thousand dollar purse will. In addition to the ten thousand dollar purse the first and second place winners in each professional class will receive day money! &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Bring the season to a close at Purity Spring Resort in East Madison, New Hampshire. Spend the entire weekend enjoying everything that Purity has to offer, besides a delightful, proffesional trail.
