Sunset Hill House, with its stunning views of the sunrise across the valley and over the White Mountains from its restaurant and banquet deck, has been the preferred site for this ecumenical event since 1935.
Traditionally this is a product of the three community churches (Sugar Hill Community Church, Franconia Church of Christ and Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, also in Franconia). A choir comprised of all interested parties will sing and the message will be given by a local pastor. Refreshments are available immediately following in the Inn’s newly remodeled Alpine Glow conference room.

From 8:30 to 12:30, the inn will host Easter Sunday Breakfast Brunch in its main restaurant, with a portion of all revenue to be donated to the Bancroft House Shelter in Franconia. Rates are $17.95 for adults and $12.95 for children. Guests will enjoy a variety of fresh baked pastries, fruits, cereals, yogurt, eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, Maple-cream-cheese stuffed French toast, pancakes, potatoes, breakfast meats, quiche and more.

Promptly at noon (registration beginning at 11:30) Sunset Hill House will host an Easter egg hunt for all, with prizes awarded. This event is free for all children, and any donations collected will be given to the Bancroft House. “We have the eggs, we’ll get the word out to the kids, but we could use a bunny suit and some Easter baskets” according to Lon Henderson, the innkeeper. “It will all work out”.

Sunset Hill House has been a supporter of the Bancroft House for the past 8 years, and contributes regularly to community activities and charities through its active “in kind” donation program, its innovative Neighbor to Neighbor charity dinner program, Easter Day and Mother’s day activities. “When we give to the community, we are giving to our friends, our neighbors and ourselves – it is a real joy to be able to do something more!” says Innkeeper Nancy Henderson. Last year the inn donated over $15,000 in goods and services to the community and was awarded the Restaurant Neighbor Award by the National Restaurant Association. This year, they hope to exceed that figure.

For further information, contact Nancy Henderson at (603) 823-5522.
