Christyne Butler, who served as president of the New Hampshire chapter of Romance Writers of America for the last four years, first release from Harlequin Publishing, THE COWBOY’S SECOND CHANCE, is in bookstores now. Harlequin is a leading publisher in romance fiction that is celebrating its 60
th anniversary this year.
“Writing for Harlequin has been a dream of mine since I started pursuing writing romance fiction,” Christyne says. “To have my first release coming out this year, during Harlequin’s 60th anniversary makes it even more special.”
THE COWBOY’S SECOND CHANCE, set in the fictional town of Destiny, Wyoming, features a hero who is wasn’t responsible for the fire at his family’s ranch that killed his wife and baby girl, but a court thought otherwise. The conviction is overturned, and now he’s drifting from ranch to ranch, determined never to put down roots again. He takes a job working for a lady rancher who is trying to save her land, and finds himself falling for his new boss and her young daughter.
Butler, a former military brat who spent her formative years in Merrimack, travels from her home in Leominster, Massachusetts to attend chapter meetings of the New Hampshire chapter of Romance Writers of America held at The Baker Free Library in Bow, NH. Her second book, THE SHERIFF’S SECRET WIFE, will be a January 2010 release.
