Memorial Day Weekend Deals: M/S Mount Washington

The historic M/S Mount Washington honors those that have served our country. During Memorial Day weekend- Saturday, May 23 through Monday, May 25- special deals will be offered for a cruise on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. Veterans, military personnel, and their families receive a $10 discount off the $25 adult fare. Additionally, all kids 12 and under cruise free. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments are available on board. The offer is good on all daytime cruises from all ports.

The cruise around Lake Winnipesaukee covers 72 square miles and contains more than 240 habitable islands. It is surrounded by the White Mountain range and mostly spring fed.

This weekend the M/S Mount Washington will also party into the evening with its first dinner and dance cruise of the season. The Sea 'n' Beef cruise is on Saturday, May 23, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.  This cruise is an opportunity to dine, dance, and enjoy the ambiance and romance of Lake Winnepesaukee. There will be live entertainment on up to three decks. Cost is $49 per person.

The M/S Mount Washington's official season runs from May 23th through October 24th.

Each year the 230-foot boat offers daily scenic cruises as well as evening dinner and dance cruises departing from Weirs Beach with service to the ports of Wolfeboro and Alton Bay.  For daily 2 ½ hour cruises, regular adult fare is $25, children 5 to 12 fare is $12, and children 4 and under cruise for free. The special Sunday Jazz Champagne Brunch cruise costs $40 for adults, $20 for children (5-12), free for children 4 and under.

It is also possible to experience a cruise from anywhere by accessing the web camera on the website http://www.cruisenh.com. The camera is mounted above the wheelhouse, providing a captain's view.

The family-owned Mount operates May through October, offering daytime scenic, evening dinner & dance, and special themed cruises. With a capacity of 1,250 passengers, the Mount serves as the largest restaurant in the state and a popular gathering point for school proms, college reunions, large corporate celebrations and weddings.
