Broadway Stars Coming to Manchester to Sing Selections from The Lion King

Continuing to strengthen its reputation as an innovative, unique non-profit, Moore Center Services is welcoming theatre stars Tshidi Manye (The Lion King) and Horace Rogers (The Color Purple) and their son Mpho Manye to the Granite State for an inspiring and exciting evening of Broadway entertainment.  They will be performing selections from the Broadway smash The Lion King at Moore Center’s ninth Annual Meeting, held on November 17 at 5:00 pm at CR Sparks Event Center in Bedford, NH.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have our special guests join us in celebrating the work that we do and the clients that we serve,” said Paul Boynton, President and CEO of Moore Center Services.  “This is going to be our most memorable Annual Meeting to date.”

The theme ‘Circle of a Good Life’ reflects the network of services and supports that Moore Center employs to serve clients from birth to death.    Moore Center serves people with developmental disabilities, children in its Grow, Learn and Play child care and learning center, seniors and the human services workforce. 

“We engage our clients at each stage of their life,” said Boynton.  “It is apt that we’re featuring these performances from The Lion King this year.  The idea of a circle of life fits so well with the continuum of service our agency provides.”

In preparation for the Annual Meeting, Moore Center, with the help of generous donations from area businesses, dispatched a group of seven--three clients and four staff--to New York City to watch The Lion King and meet Tshidi, who plays the lead character Rafiki in the production.
