Take a new Look at the M/S Mount Washington

WEIRS BEACH, NH– M/S Mount Washington is the proud carrier of the Lake Region's (maybe even the Granite State's) only floating web cam. The venerable cruise ship now has a web cam aboard taking pictures as the Mount plies the clear waters of Lake Winnipesaukee and sends them direct to the Mount's website.

The equipment used to offer this unique look onto the lake is a Stardot Netcam XL camera. Images are uploaded about every 2 minutes.

"We have not perfected everything yet but you will be able to see some great shots from the lake," says Mount co-owner Ingunn Gardner. "We would like to thank all those who volunteered their advice and help with this project. Carolyn Murphy from Rattlesnake Island and owner of the webcam Snake Eyes, Mike Colclough owner of Lake Winnipesaukee WeatherCam and web designer, Justin Quinn as well as M/S Mount Washington captain and engineer Bob Reed."

Check it out on http://www.cruiseNH.com .

Once just a summer attraction, the 230-foot M/S Mount Washington now operates May through October, offering daytime scenic, evening dinner and dance, and special themed cruises.
