Weirs Beach, NH—This fourth of July passengers on the M/S Mount Washington can enjoy an evening of dining and dancing while cruising the lake looking for fireworks. This scenic party cruise offers a fun evening for the whole family. The cruise departs from Weirs Beach at 7 p.m.

Fireworks are weather permitting, and the Mount Washington Cruises makes no guarantees as to the actual visibility of fireworks.

The family-owned Mount operates May through October, offering daytime scenic, evening dinner & dance, and special themed cruises.  With a capacity of 1,250 passengers, the Mount serves as the largest restaurant in the state and a popular gathering point for school proms, college reunions, large corporate celebrations and weddings.

Each year the 230-foot boat offers daily scenic cruises as well as evening dinner and dance cruises departing from Weirs Beach with service to the ports of Meredith, Wolfeboro, Center Harbor and Alton Bay.  For the daily 2 hour and 30 minute cruises, regular adult fares are $25, children 4 to 12 paying $12, and children 3 and under sailing free. In July and August a 2-hour cruise from Weirs Beach will also be offered costing $22 adults, $11 children (4-12), free for children 3 and under. The special Sunday Jazz Champagne Brunch cruise costs $42 for adults, $21 for children (4-12), free for children 3 and under.

The 132-year history of the Mount Washington began with a vessel that plied the water of the big lake until 1939.  Today's vessel, the motor-ship Mount Washington, started her career on Vermont's Lake Champlain under the name "Chateauguay." Purchased by the Winnipesaukee Steamship Company in 1940, she was transported in twenty sections via rail, reassembled, re-outfitted, and christened the Mount Washington II.  Today, in addition to operating the 'Mount,' the Winnipesaukee Flagship Corporation also owns and operates the 74' US. Mail Boat Sophie C., and 68' Doris E.  Both vessels offer scenic lake cruises in July and August from Weirs Beach.
