Getting around the Lakes Region during Motorcycle Week (June 14-22) is not easy. Roads are closed or clogged with bikes from around the world, and in some regions four-wheel traffic is prohibited entirely. How is the best way to get to Weirs Beach and be a part of the action? Take to the water and leave the driving to Mount Washington Cruises.

While the Winnipesaukee Flagship M/S Mount Washington will be dockside during Motorcycle Week, her sister ships will offer quick and easy shuttle service between the ports of Weirs Beach and Meredith on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. With fares of just $15 per person roundtrip, passengers will enjoy the scenery of picturesque Meredith Bay during their half hour journey to Weirs Beach.

The Doris E. and Sophie C. will offer shuttle service on Thursday, June 19  (10:00 AM – 11:00PM), Friday, June 20 (9:00 AM – 1:30 AM), Saturday, June 21 (9:00 AM – 1:30 AM) and Sunday, June 22 (9:00 AM – 2:30 PM).

The Motor Vessel (M/V) Sophie C. is the oldest floating post office in the United States. Each season she provides mail service on the lake, a tradition dating back to 1892. Passengers are invited to fill out Sophie C. postcards, complete with Sophie's own unique, collectible, stamp and mail them right on board. To make the trip even sweeter, passengers can enjoy a treat from the collection of ice cream novelty items and snacks for sale.

The 85 ft. M/V Doris E. offers indoor and outdoor seating, snacks (cookies, candy), and a restroom. Passengers will enjoy spectacular scenery of the smaller islands adjacent to Weirs Bay and views of the western end of Lake Winnipesaukee while traveling to their destination.

The family-owned Mount operates May through October, offering daytime scenic, evening dinner & dance, and special themed cruises. The adult fare for the two-hour and 30 minute cruise is $25, children 4 to 12 is $12, and children under 4 sail free. The two- hour cruise offered in July and August costs $22 adult, $11 child, and children under 4 sail free. The M/S Mount Washington's official season began May 17th and runs through October 26th.
