Manchester, NH 5/19/08 – The Acting Loft Academy of Performing Arts, Manchester's Education Theatre, is now enrolling exceptional Middle and High School students for its Summer Spotlight Project teen camp. The camp was designed to go far beyond the usual musical theatre camp experience and aims to introduce teens to the art behind the entertainment. .The camp runs in three two-week sessions, July 7th-18th, July 21st-August 1st and August 4th-15th. Each session focuses on a specific theatre topic designed to excite and challenge teens. Students will create their own theatrical piece which will then be shared with the Manchester community through The Acting Loft's StoryTime Theatre series.

The Acting Loft's Spotlight Project offers teens an intense summer experience that is sure to impress college admissions officers.

"Our Spotlight Project gives young performers a place where they can take their theatrical studies to the next level, " said Kirstin Kennedy, The Acting Loft's Director of Education, "The best way to instill confidence in a young performer is to give them the opportunity to collaborate with, and learn from, trained theatre professionals. Every teacher and workshop leader involved is a trained professional with a degree in their field and extensive professional experience."

The Acting Loft's Spotlight Project runs Monday-Friday, from 9am-5pm at 516 Pine Street, Manchester. Tuition for each session is $200, and financial aid may be available for Manchester residents.
