The good, the bad and the beautiful bring their skills to Goffstown High School on Saturday, March 22, for the Crispin’s House annual 3- on-3 Basketball Tournament.
“The 3-on-3 brings out the best in players,” said Al Baines, acting executive director of Crispin’s House. “It’s about having a good time for a good cause, no matter how long it’s been since you laced up your sneakers.”
The fundraiser supports the Crispin’s House mission of encouraging youths to make positive choices while building bridges within the community.
Its programs include the Afterschool Program at Mountain View Middle School, the Goffstown Area Diversion Program, the Goffstown Area Youth Forum and the Starfish Coalition.
Teams of all ages and abilities are encouraged to sign up for the day of fun. There are special categories for family teams, young players and older adults, as well as divisions for elementary, middle school and high school athletes.
Now in it’s seventh year, the annual tournament continues to grow. Last year more than 125 players joined in the fun, raising more than $3,000 for the charity.
“This year should be even more fun,” Baines said. “There are a lot of fantastic people involved and we’re expecting some
great things.”
But don’t let the “3-on-3” name fool you.
“It’s best to have four players per team,” Baines said. “Three play and one substitutes.” For details or registration materials, contact Crispin’s House at 497-3499.
