The 28th annual Goffstown Gallop Road Race takes place Saturday, June 30, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The 5.2-mile race starts and ends at the town’s recreation center on Route 114.

First- and second-place prizes are given in many age divisions in both resident and non-resident categories.

The entrance fee is $8 for preregistered runners and $10 the day of the race. The first 200 registered runners receive a free Gallop T-shirt. Proceeds from the race benefit the Goffstown Friends of Recreation.

Fitness Resources times the race, which is sponsored by Indian Head Athletics, Crown Trophy, Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Goffstown Ace Hardware, Liberty Press, Lightning Lube, Goffstown Parks and Recreation, Goffstown Friends of Recreation, Super Suds Car Wash and Piscatagua River Massage Therapy.
