Katie Boyd Demonologist and Occult Sciences Expert decided that with the uprising in interest with the supernatural that people should understand the dangers of messing with things they don't understand and to shed a little light on the issue of demonic possession and hauntings with real case files and advice.

There really are no texts out there in the world right now that tell you how to be a demonologist. With Ghost Quest (Katie co-owns the paranormal group)
we did a lot of lectures and in each one there was at least one person who said 
they couldn't find any books about demonology. The need was there, and I felt I should fill people in on the truths of demonic entities." Katie said.
Her new book details her own forays into the paranormal and world of Occultism. It doesn't just talk about the standard demons that we know, but goes into what we would term demonic entities from around the world. Mixing her Occult background with her Demonology Boyd brings a new view to a very old religious practice. "
The great thing about the system I use is that it can be tailored to anyone's belief." Katie says "
It's not just about the exorcist but the power of the person's own beliefs can help them overcome the entities power. It is the victims will they are trying to take away and part of an exorcists job is to help restrengthen that will so that the victim can overcome."
Katie has both law enforcement and medical background and she says that it comes into play often with her job as a Demonologist. "
I have to be really skeptical with demonic hauntings as it can be medications the person is taking that cause hallucinations, mental illness, stress, there are so many things that people don't understand that go into being a Demonologist."
Katie's book shows cases of demonic attack, how to avoid inviting one in, and some basics on identifying what is spirit, and what is demon. She discusses the different types of entities that could invade your home and your mind, and profiles different occultists who have affected demonology today. She also shows some of demonology's weak points identifying deaths due to exorcism and why the practice is so controversial.
