Something is brewing at the Epsom Library for this Halloween. The library will be haunted by a special train and Halloween village display. The train and village are part of a collection owned by Jonas and Elaine Glidden of Epsom, and they have set up the display for young and old to be enjoyed for the holiday season.
The train is an 027 gauge Lionel with a full complement of bewitching cars filled with the sights and sounds of Halloween. Be prepared to watch the spirits as they play on the haunted express.
The express is bound for Spookeytown, a village inhabited by all kinds of ghastly characters, and where trick-or-treating is an everyday event. The town comes alive with eerie noises coming from many of the haunted buildings. Find the cemetery where nothing rests in peace, and observe the last place you would want to stay – the Dead End Motel.
Bring the whole family and get caught up in the magical experience of Halloween. The display will be available for viewing during the following times:
Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 4 to 7 p.m.
The exhibit is open to the general public free of charge, but donations will be accepted to be used toward the purchase of a new computer at the Epsom Library.
