The Epsom Public Library is open at its new location 1606 Dover Road. Feel free to stop by and see this new building.
The library has a great selection of DVDs, videos and audio books as well as new adult fiction and non-fiction. New DVDs available include “Babel,” “An Inconvenient Truth,” “Little Miss Sunshine,” “Barnyard” and “Flicka.”
The library has public access computers available as well as wireless Internet. The public meeting room is available to nonprofit groups. Sign-up info is available at the circulation desk.
Story time for preschoolers is on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. and Fridays at 10 a.m. The children listen to stories, sing songs and enjoy crafts.
There are lots of new activities at the library. A new program for toddlers and their parents/caregiver is on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. The children enjoy age appropriate stories, songs, movement and art activities.
Join the new writers group at the library Thursday, April 19, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dates include April 19, May 3, 17 and 31. Join for inspiration, ideas and support.
You are invited to join other knitters every Tuesday from 6:30-8:30pm at the library. Bring your own handwork or project. For more info call the library.
The new evening book discussion group will meet Wednesday, April 18, at 6:30 p.m. They will read “Water for Elephants” by Sara Gruen. Stop at the library to pick up a copy.
Activities planned at the library during school vacation include a presentation by “Wildlife Encounters” on Tuesday, April 24, at 2 p.m. Children are invited to come learn and interact with some amazing animals.
On Wednesday night, April 25, at 6:30 p.m., come to the library for a fun Story Time with guest storyteller Margot Keyes. Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite teddy bear! For details, call Mrs. Benner at the library 736-9920.
Library hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
