The Concord Substance Abuse Coalition is sponsoring its fifth annual Radio Ad Challenge. This contest is a chance for youth across the state to have their drug-free message heard on 105.5 FM, WJYY. Youth in grades 6 to 12, partnering with an adult adviser, are invited to create and record a radio public service announcement (PSA) about alcohol, tobacco or other drugs.
Groups must register to receive complete rules for this contest. The registration form can
be downloaded from the coalition’s Web site at www.concordprevention.org. The deadline for completed submissions is Monday, June 4, at 5 p.m.
Two winning teams will be chosen to record their winning ads at the 105.5 FM, WJYY studios. The ads will air for approximately three weeks during peak listening hours, beginning in mid-June. The winning teams will also win a gift basket with up to $200 worth of prizes donated by local businesses.
