The Emerson Fund, administered through the Unitarian/Universalist Church of Concord, will give four grants to local nonprofits.
Five Rivers Conservation Trust will receive $3,000 for its efforts to preserve open spaces in and around Concord. Five Rivers protected properties include such working farms as Dimond Hill Farm and Carter Hill Orchard.
Interfaith Caregivers will receive $500 to help members of Concord’s faith communities provide medical transportation, companionship and grocery shopping services to those in physical need.
New Hampshire Peace Action will receive $500 to help the organization improve and maintain its Web site.
The Children’s Place and Parent Education Center’s family support program will receive $1,000 to help families in financial need access the center’s services.
The Emerson Fund provides grants to individuals and organizations that work to benefit the greater Concord community by promoting social justice, a healthy natural environment, respect for diversity or alternatives to violence.
