The Concord Family YMCA recently held its annual meeting at the CenterPoint Church in Concord. This is the annual business meeting for the YMCA and is also the event where the YMCA recognizes and thanks volunteers.

The president of the Board of Directors, John Sokul conducted the business meeting. He recognized out going board members Lisa Bauer (six years), Peg Evans (one year), Peg Fargo (five years), Joe Spain (three years), Mary Ann Manoogian (three years) and Jim Rosenberg (three years.)

Incoming board members appointed were Taryn Fisher, Travis Harker, Janice Benefont, Sue Guimond, Seth Pengree, John Udaloy, Carmine Tomas, Keith Mitchell and Larry Ozowitz.

The evening then shifted to the recognition of volunteers in all areas of the YMCA.

The following special recognitions were presented:

• Betsy Vincent – Leroy Davis Aquatic Award
• Liam Healy – David Sullivan Youth Award
• Nick Bonenfant – David Sullivan Teen Award
• Katelynd Mahoney – David Sullivan Teen Award
• Jean Morse – Character Development Award
• Chris Friedman and Mark Mallory – Program Volunteer of the Year
• Kate Russo, Jen Devanney and Anne Laforce – Volunteer of the Year
• McNameeKing family – Member of the Year
• Shaw’s and Concord Steam – Community Service Award

The night ended with a traditional PowerPoint presentation, which portrayed the past year in pictures.
