The Stevens-Buswell Post of the American Legion sponsored three teens from Bedford to the 2009 session of Boys State. They are Scott Mailloux and Jacob Lademan from Bedford High School, and Sean VanAnglen, a student at Trinity High.

The teens held positions in their respective towns, party and state. Additionally, Lademan was chosen as alternate to Boys Nation, a similar program held at the nation’s capital.
