Bedford’s youth lacrosse weekend summaries

Recreation league
Associated Concrete received goals from Chris Ell, Josh Koellmer, Gunnar Senatore and Steve Simpson in a recent contest with Montagne Communications. Kaleb Harrington and Sander Van Duren were strong in goal, each making multiple saves for AC.

Boys U15A travel
Bedford overcame penalties and edged Hollis-Brookline, 8-7, on April 18. Hunter Allan, Max Heald and Tommy Vailas each scored twice, while Johnny Karanasios and Artie Krogman also found the net. David Lademan, Sam Kollmorgen and Clay Kirkpatrick led the solid defense. Trevor Harnsberger, Ryan Casey and Pat Lemay added to the attack.

In an 11-4 loss to Amherst on April 19, Joe Thibeault, Allan, Krogman and Vailas scored. Chase Laventure turned in a strong effort in net after taking over in the second quarter.

Boys U15C travel
Bedford handled Amherst in the season opener, 9-3. Pat Simpson scored three times, and Dan Colella, Blake Thomas, Matt Myers and Aaron Palys added to the attack. Matt Howe’s 15 saves, coupled with solid defense from James Curran, Mike Bureau, Tom Desroche, Kyle Barnsley and Nathan Callanan, held Amherst at bay.

Boys U13B travel
The boys won their final two preseason games, beating Hollis on April 18, 11-5, then Nashua on April 19, 8-1.

Against Hollis, a stiff defense and solid goaltending by Jake Sonberg and Alden Skillings led the way. Evan Tyros, Jake Laughlin and Conner Kelly all scored twice. Dylan Mundis, Matt Robinson, Ryan Wittenberg, Jake Sonberg and Ross Burton added tallies for the balanced attack.

Facing Nashua, Steve Tempests, Chris Carlson, Alex Skillings and Nolan Tranchmontagne limited their foes’ offense throughout the game. Laughlin found the net twice, with Burton, Robinson, Wittenberg, Tyros, Tom Fortin and Sam Richmond also scoring.

Girls U13C travel
The Cannons controlled most groundballs and beat host Amherst, 7-3, to open the season. Mackenzie O’Brien and Lexi Tilton handled the goaltending chores well, and goals from Kennedy Boyle, Tilton, Maddie Speaker and Katherine Cusack paced the offense.
