A 72-year-old Bedford man died after an accident when his pickup truck overturned on a highway ramp along Route 101.

According to New Hampshire State Police, Eldon Sidebotham was exiting Route 101 eastbound onto Interstate 293 northbound about 8 p.m., Monday, April 6, when his truck fell down an embankment and overturned several times.

Sidebotham, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from his Chevrolet pickup truck.

The accident is under investigation, but state police said the roads were wet from rain at the time and speed does appear to be a factor.
