The Jr. ’Dogs hammered Hampstead, 27-0, for their first win this season. Casey Schehl scored twice, sandwiching Jaxson Mantel and Jacob Lathram touchdowns. Nick Angelini and Ian Kondek added extra points. Angelini’s diving catch set up Lathram’s score. Grant Mello, Trent Fortune, Matt Howe, Cody Miller, and Matt Grassett blocked for Mantel’s tally. The inside running of Trent Fortune and Kondek kept the Hampstead offense off the field most of the second half.

Tony Martucci, Fortune, Riley Ewing and Angelini made interceptions on defense. Ewing, Martucci, Tom Desroche and Mello contained Hampstead’s outside running game. Howe, Griffin Lyons, Nathan Denault, Lathram, Cody Miller and Chris Miller stopped the ’Cats’ inside attack.
