Fire officials say the cause of a June 9 blaze that caused $2 million loss is undetermined.
According to Linda Wilking, a lieutenant with the Auburn Fire Department, the fire started at approximately 1:45 a.m., and was called into the fire station at 2:30 a.m.
Power Up Equipment Rental, located at the end of the long metal building at 8 Priscilla Lane took the most structural and inventory damage from the blaze.
The fire marshal has completed an investigation and was unable to determine the cause of the fire, said Wilkins. The insurance company is currently conducting its own investigation.
Auburn received assistance from seven area fire departments – Manchester, Hooksett, Derry, Chester, Candia, Londonderry and Windham.
“This was the biggest fire Auburn has ever had in terms of financial loss,” said Wilking.
All businesses on Priscilla Lane are open for business, because they were able to move to an adjacent building.
“The business owners were extremely appreciative of all that the responding fire departments did,” said Wilking.
